EVIDENCE-BASED HOME PROGRAM

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy

Strengthen thinking and language skills, build confidence and discover what’s still possible after a dementia diagnosis

What is Cognitive Stimulation Therapy?

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is an internationally recommended, widely researched non-drug therapy designed to support thinking and language skills commonly impacted by dementia.

It uses carefully designed, adult-focused activities and meaningful conversation to get people thinking, talking, sharing ideas and connecting with others.

No tests. No pressure. Just plenty of thinking, discussion and hopefully a few laughs along the way.

Why I Created Cognitive Connections

When I was running Cognitive Stimulation groups, families often told me how much more their person was talking, contributing, laughing and joining in.

They wanted to know how they could create similar opportunities at home. Cognitive Connections™ was created to make this possible, with adult-focused activities, quality resources and personalised therapist guidance.

What Families & Carers Are Saying

" This program is amazing...it’s beautiful being able to help your family member with their cognitive function, we also had loads of laughs."

A.E (Kwinana)

L.T (Fremantle)

"I wanted to let you know how great it has been to be able to do this at home. Being able to do the activities when he is feeling up to it has been fantastic.."

"The entire program is wonderful and made even easier by the videos. We've felt fully supported throughout the program."

Enjoyed Together With a Cuppa

Cognitive Stimulation doesn't need to feel like therapy.   It can be as simple as spending 20–30 minutes together over a cuppa, talking about a topic, exploring resources, solving a problem or sharing ideas.

Amanda provides the structure, guidance and resources, so you can focus on enjoying the conversation and connection.
