After a Dementia Diagnosis, People Often Ask...
“What can we do to help?”
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is an internationally recommended, widely researched non-drug interventions for people living with mild-moderate dementia.
It uses carefully designed adult activities and meaningful conversation to get people thinking, talking, sharing ideas and connecting with others.
In this live workshop, you can join in or simply observe as Amanda guides you through a Cognitive Stimulation activity and explains the principles and research behind it.
Expect plenty of thinking, discussion and hopefully a few laughs along the way.
Cognitive Stimulation Can Support
More Than Puzzles & Everyday Conversation
We all use our brains throughout the day, but Cognitive Stimulation is purposefully designed to do more.
Think of it like a workout for the brain.
Rather than testing what someone remembers, activities use conversation, opinions, problem-solving, language, creativity and everyday knowledge to stimulate thinking and communication in an enjoyable and supportive way.
And because there isn't always one “right” answer, everyone has something they can contribute.
This is about getting the brain active — not testing it.
