About Amanda
My first role, back in 2001, was in a large neurological rehabilitation unit in Auckland, New Zealand, where I developed a passion for helping people maximise their independence, function, and quality of life.
I also saw the vital role families play, and the importance of supporting both the person and those caring for them.
Throughout my career, I met many families who felt overwhelmed by the complexity of dementia and the uncertainty that often follows a diagnosis.
As I explained conditions, treatments, and strategies in simple, practical language, I realised my passion wasn't simply rehabilitation - it was helping people understand what was happening, what they could influence, and how to move forward with confidence.

💙 Clear explanations, without jargon
