Group

A ready-to-run group cognitive stimulation program for nominated staff to deliver, with therapist training, guidance and support.

Therapist-Developed, Simple for Staff to Deliver

With over 25 years' experience in neurological physiotherapy across residential aged care, community rehabilitation and disability services, I understand the challenges of delivering quality care with limited time, resources and changing staff teams.

That’s why I’ve developed Cognitive Connections™ Group, a therapist-supported program that makes it simple for trained staff to deliver structured, engaging group sessions with confidence.

Everything Your Team Needs to Get Started

Benefits of group cognitive stimulation program Cognitive Connections

What is Cognitive Stimulation?

Cognitive stimulation is a structured, non-drug approach that encourages people to exercise their thinking, language and communication skills through conversation, activities and social interaction. Rather than memory tests or right answers, the focus is on sharing ideas, making choices and building on existing strengths.

Cognitive Connections™ Group is built on The Connect Method®, which draws on the established principles of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), combined with neurorehabilitation and relationship-centred care, simplified so staff can follow it and deliver confidently.

Every session includes:

  • Step-by-step guidance

  • Guidance for adapting activities

  • Safety considerations

  • Ready-to-use resources

How activities are facilitated matters as much as the activities.

Your nominated staff receive practical training, and therapist guidance to confidently deliver Cognitive Connections™ Group.

Your Program Includes:

  • Facilitator handbook with 10 structured activity sessions

  • Ready-to-use resources for groups of up to 10 participants

  • Dementia education video and a short knowledge check

  • Step-by-step activity coaching videos

  • Online sessions with Amanda tailored to your needs.

Additional Support Available

  • Individual therapist consultations

  • On-site training and support (Perth only)

  • Q& A support in group or individual sessions
